I did the A2 writing course as a supplement to the conversation lessons and it saved me a lot of time and nerves. In the lesson, we didn't waste time writing and correcting and could focus on conversation. The course helped me a lot with vocabulary in general but mostly with the phrases I need for writing in Czech. I had never wrtiten anything in Czech before, max. I used some short texts translated with Google. After this course I'm sure about phrases I should use for formal and informal emails and I stopped directly translated from English or my native language. I also appreciate the quick feedback Veronika gave me during the whole course.

WHY IS THIS COURSE DIFFERENT?
When the exam level changed from A1 to A2 in November 2021, many students were caught off guard. It's no longer enough to just copy information into a form or write an SMS to a friend.
"But I don't write in Czech at all, and when I have to, I use a translator or ask a colleague at work..."
I hear this often, but it doesn't have to be this way. Although A2 writing has higher demands, it still has a fixed format. You just need to know what to write and where. As a teacher who has prepared over 40 successful students since November 2021, I will provide you with exactly what you need.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Is the course suitable for those who are not taking the permanent residence exam?
Definitely YES! You will learn the basics of written communication in Czech for everyday situations. You will know phrases that you often hear, understand, but would not use correctly yourself.
How long does it take to complete the course?
It depends on your pace. You can go through all the lessons in 7 weeks (1 lesson per week), or choose only those you need most.
Do I have to write texts by hand?
The ideal is a combination - write some texts by hand (as in the exam) and some on the computer. You will receive feedback in both cases.
What if I don't have time to complete the entire course?
The course is flexible - after completing the first lesson, all others will open and you can focus only on the parts you need most.
REFERENCE FROM SATISFIED STUDENTS:
The course is logically structured, practical, systematic, full of good tips - grammatical, practical. I enjoyed the graphics. The teacher gave me a quick and well-structure feedback and I could apply her suggestion to my texts. Thank you!
When Veronika offerd me the writing course, I expected someting basic, e.g. some tasks with correction. But I need to say I was very surprised how complex the course is. There's plenty of vocab in every unit which makes you feel you know quite a lot of words in Czech, there are also some lovely post-its with grammar tips as well as some practical tips Vero gathered during her teaching experience. Here you simply find everything you need to start writing in Czech. Bravo, Vero!

Not sure if the course is right for you?

I am a Czech language teacher and for almost a decade I have been introducing the beauty of my native language to foreigners, helping them to overcome its difficulties and motivating them to study it and use it in everyday life.
Czech is a beautiful and rich language that everyone can find a way to learn if they set their mind to it, because in my opinion, you can study Czech anywhere, anytime
